The present department is a combination of the two separate fire departments combined into one when our two municipalities amalgamated in 1990.

Once operating two separate fire stations only a few kilometres apart. In 1993 both stations were closed at the same time and we moved to one centrally located fire station. Our building also houses the Public Works Department.
